Mold Removal

See also: Miscellaneous Notes

Most people believe that bleach will kill mold on the studs of a home that has been flooded. That is incorrect. Bleach will bleach the mold but not kill it. Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide, used straight and sprayed on the wet wood will penetrate the wood and kill the roots of the mold. Mixing a gallon of Vinegar with a large bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide in a spray pump and saturating the studs and all exposed areas of a home where the sheet rock was removed. Apply a second coat when the first one has dried.
