+== MH370 vanished in 2014. A new search aims to find answers families desperately want ==
 +
 +Rudi Maxwell - 30 December 2025
 +
+Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 took off from Kuala Lumpur heading for Beijing on March 8, 2014 — and vanished.
 +
+Now, nearly 12 years later, a new search is set to begin.
 +
+Is the new search likely to find new evidence more than a decade after the flight went missing? And with satellite technology how does a commercial aircraft disappear? This is what we know.

+== For the past 24 hours, the vessel searching for MH370 has been moving at low speed in a very specific area ==

 +
+The search vessel has been moving at a very low speed in a very specific area, an unusual behavior compared to standard search patterns.
 +
+In a video “MH370 Search – Jan 5, 2026 – Did the ship find something?” posted by gilchecksix, the speaker noticed an unusual behavior compared to standard search patterns for Ocean Infinity vessel, currently looking for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
 +
+He suggests this could indicate the use of a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Unlike the Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) that follow pre-programmed paths for days, an ROV is tethered to the ship and controlled in real-time by an operator.
 +
+ROVs are typically deployed to get high-resolution photos or detailed inspections of specific objects or “points of interest” that were previously detected by AUVs.
